A heavy, display-oriented serif with a rough, eroded surface and irregular outlines that feel like torn paper or worn letterpress. Strokes show strong thick–thin interplay, with sharp notches, spurs, and wedge-like terminals that read as chipped or bitten away rather than smoothly cut. Counters are generally compact and the texture introduces scattered flecks and edge breakups, creating a noisy silhouette while keeping the core letterforms recognizable. Spacing and widths vary noticeably across glyphs, reinforcing a handmade, distressed rhythm in both capitals and lowercase.

Best suited for headlines, logos, and short phrases where the distressed texture and sharp serif detailing can be appreciated. It works well for horror and Halloween-themed posters, game or film title treatments, album artwork, and attention-grabbing packaging or event flyers, especially when paired with simpler body text.

The overall tone is ominous and theatrical, evoking old spellbooks, graveyard signage, and horror title cards. Its gritty breakup and jagged terminals add tension and unease, while the classic serif bones give it a vintage, folklore-leaning personality rather than a modern splatter look.

The design appears intended to merge traditional serif structure with an aggressively distressed, jagged finish to create an aged-yet-threatening display voice. The goal is high visual impact and atmosphere over neutrality, with texture doing much of the storytelling.

The distressed treatment is consistent across the set, with edge nicks and small voids that will become more prominent at larger sizes and may fill in at small sizes. Numerals carry the same chipped, ink-worn texture and feel designed to match headline use rather than UI reading.
