A high-contrast serif with narrow hairlines, fuller verticals, and distinctly tapered, subtly flared stroke endings that give terminals a sharpened, calligraphic finish. Serifs are crisp and bracketed, with wedge-like shaping on many capitals and a pronounced stress visible in rounded letters such as C, O, and G. Proportions feel traditionally bookish: capitals are stately and evenly spaced, while lowercase forms show clear differentiation and lively modulation (notably in a, e, and g). Numerals follow the same contrasty rhythm, with elegant curves and thin connecting strokes that emphasize a refined, print-oriented texture.

Well suited to editorial typography, book interiors, and magazine layouts where a traditional serif voice is desired. It also performs well for display applications—headlines, pull quotes, and formal communications—where its crisp serifs and tapered finishing can be appreciated.

The overall tone is classic and authoritative, with a poised, old-style sophistication suited to traditional publishing. Its sharp, tapered details and strong thick–thin rhythm add a sense of ceremony and polish, reading as cultivated rather than casual.

Designed to evoke a classic reading experience while adding extra sharpness and character through tapered, flared stroke endings. The intent appears to balance traditional proportions with a more vivid, contrast-driven presence for contemporary editorial use.

Joins and curves are handled with clean, confident drawing, and the type’s contrast produces a bright page color at larger sizes. The flared tapering at terminals and serifs adds a slightly dramatic, engraved feel without becoming ornamental.
