A sculpted serif with pronounced stroke modulation and crisp, bracketed serifs. Letterforms are broad-shouldered with generous horizontal spread and relatively compact counters, producing a dense, weighty texture. The curves show strong thinning into hairlines, while key joins and terminals feel sharp and controlled, giving the face a precise, engraved-like finish. The lowercase has sturdy, rounded bowls with firm serifs and a clear, conventional construction; figures are equally bold with high-contrast curves and prominent top/bottom shaping.

Best suited to headlines and large-size settings where its contrast and broad proportions can be appreciated without filling in. It works well for editorial typography, book and magazine covers, and brand wordmarks that need a classic, authoritative voice; it can also serve as a strong accent face for pull quotes, section openers, and prominent numerals.

The overall tone is confident and formal, with a dramatic, editorial flavor. Its wide stance and sharp contrast read as authoritative and traditional, suggesting seriousness and polish rather than softness or casualness.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice with heightened drama: wide, high-impact forms paired with refined hairlines and crisp serifs for a polished, print-forward impression.

In text samples, the dark color and wide proportions create strong presence and a tight rhythm; spacing feels built to hold together at larger sizes. The capitals are especially imposing, and the numerals carry the same assertive, sculpted character, making the set feel cohesive across headings and supportive typography.
