A flared serif with bracketed terminals and a subtly calligraphic stroke logic. Stems thicken into wedge-like serif endings rather than forming flat slabs, creating a sculpted, slightly engraved feel. Curves are full and open, with moderated contrast and clear, sturdy joins; the lowercase shows rounded bowls and a two-storey g with a compact ear. Numerals are traditional and lining in feel, with the 2 and 3 showing pronounced entry/exit flicks and the 0 kept broadly oval.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazine headlines, book covers, section openers, and pull quotes where a classic serif voice is desired. It can also support brand identities and packaging that want heritage cues with a crisp, modern finish, and it holds up well in larger text blocks where its open counters and firm serifs can build a confident reading rhythm.

The overall tone is classical and composed, with an editorial seriousness that reads as bookish and authoritative. Flared terminals add a touch of warmth and historical flavor, suggesting a humanist, print-oriented sensibility rather than a strictly mechanical one.

The design appears intended to blend classical serif proportions with flared, chiseled terminals to create a distinctive text-and-display workhorse. Its aim seems to be delivering authority and readability while offering a more characterful texture than a conventional transitional or modern book serif.

Capital forms are broad and steady, with generous internal counters (notably in C, G, O, and Q) and a rhythmic, slightly expanding stance that helps text feel spacious. In paragraph settings the sturdy serifs and open shapes maintain clarity while contributing a distinctive, stately texture.
