A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and fine, hairline terminals. Serifs are bracketed and sharp, with a crisp, print-like finish; joins are clean and the curves show a subtle calligraphic tension. Proportions run on the broad side, giving capitals and round letters generous width and ample interior space. Lowercase forms keep clear differentiation and readability, with compact, pointed details on letters like a, e, and s and a distinctly looped, two-storey g. Numerals follow the same contrasty, old-style influence, with delicate serifs and varied widths across the set.

Well-suited for editorial typography such as magazines, book interiors, essays, and other long-form reading where a classic serif voice is appropriate. The generous proportions and crisp contrast also make it effective for display applications like headings, pull quotes, and title pages.

The overall tone is classic and cultivated, projecting a bookish, editorial sensibility rather than a neutral utilitarian one. Its sharp hairlines and elegant rhythm feel formal and confident, suited to settings where tradition and authority are desirable.

This design appears intended to deliver a conventional, classic serif voice with heightened contrast and an elegant, print-oriented finish. The broad proportions and finely drawn serifs suggest an aim toward refined editorial tone and strong typographic presence on the page.

In continuous text the strong contrast creates a lively sparkle, while the broad letterforms and open counters help prevent the page from feeling cramped. The design reads as deliberately refined, with details that reward larger sizes but still maintain a coherent text rhythm.
