A delicate italic serif with a consistent rightward slant and a crisp, pen-like rhythm. Strokes are slender with gently modulated thick–thin contrast, and terminals finish in fine, tapered points. Serifs are small and bracketed, with subtle curvature into stems that keeps the texture smooth rather than sharp. Uppercase forms are narrow and poised with long, clean diagonals (notably in A, V, W, X), while the lowercase shows italic construction with single-storey a and g, tall ascenders, and compact, rounded counters. Figures are similarly inclined and graceful, maintaining the same light, calligraphic stress across the set.

Well suited for italic roles in long-form reading—emphasis, quotations, captions, and in-text foreign phrases—where a refined, classical voice is needed. It also works for elegant titling in editorial layouts, programs, and formal stationery when set at moderate sizes with generous leading.

The overall tone is cultured and understated, suggesting traditional book typography and formal correspondence. Its lightness and flowing italic forms read as polished and slightly romantic, with an editorial, old-world restraint rather than a flashy display voice.

The design appears intended to provide a traditional, bookish italic with a calligraphic underpinning: graceful proportions, modest serifs, and a smooth, continuous rhythm that supports extended reading while still feeling ceremonious for highlights and titles.

In running text the spacing and stroke economy create an airy, high-contrast page color, with punctuation and small details kept fine and unobtrusive. The italic joins and entry/exit strokes are restrained enough to preserve clarity, but the thin hairlines and sharp terminals make it feel best when given comfortable size and whitespace.
