A high-contrast serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and gently flared stroke endings that widen into terminals. Vertical stems read strong and straight while joins and curves show a subtle calligraphic modulation, producing a lively thick–thin rhythm. Capitals are stately and slightly narrow with sharp apexes (notably in A, V, W) and confident, sculpted curves (C, G, O). The lowercase is readable with open counters and a traditional two-storey a and g, a modestly pointed w, and a slim, balanced t; figures are lining with pronounced contrast and a prominent, open-bowl 8.

Well suited to editorial typography such as magazines, book interiors, and long-form articles where a classic serif voice is desired. The refined capitals and strong contrast also make it effective for headlines, pull quotes, and branding applications that aim for an upscale, literary character.

The overall tone is polished and traditional, conveying a bookish, cultured feel with a touch of dramatic contrast. Its sharp terminals and flared finishing details add sophistication without becoming ornamental, suggesting authority and taste.

The design appears intended to blend classical serif proportions with sharper, more contemporary finishing, using flared terminals and high contrast to create a distinguished, print-oriented voice. It aims to deliver readability for text while providing enough character for prominent titles and display settings.

In text, the type maintains an even baseline and consistent spacing, with capital forms that stand out for display while remaining compatible with paragraph settings. The flared endings and strong contrast create a crisp texture that benefits from comfortable sizes and adequate line spacing in longer passages.
