A condensed, high-waisted serif with strong vertical stress and crisp, slightly bracketed serifs. Strokes are sturdy and mostly straight, with selective flare and taper at terminals that creates a chiseled, engraved feel without becoming fully blackletter. Counters are relatively tight and apertures are often narrowed, producing a compact rhythm and a tall, upright texture. Curves are restrained and somewhat angular, and the overall construction favors vertical stems, squared joins, and decorative hooked details in a consistent, display-forward system.

Well suited for short display settings such as headlines, posters, mastheads, and cover titling where a historic, gothic-leaning voice is desired. It can also work for signage and branding marks that benefit from a tall, condensed silhouette and decorative serif detailing, especially when set with extra letterspacing.

The font projects a gothic–Victorian tone that feels theatrical, formal, and slightly ominous. Its compressed proportions and sharp detailing evoke old posters and signage, lending a sense of ceremony and authority. The overall impression is decorative and stylized rather than neutral, with a distinctive period character.

The design appears intended as a decorative display serif that channels vintage, gothic and Victorian-era typography while keeping letterforms relatively structured and upright. Its goal is to deliver strong vertical presence and a distinctive engraved/poster look rather than continuous-text neutrality.

In text lines, the condensed width and tight internal spaces create dense color, so it reads best with generous tracking and at larger sizes. The design’s distinctive terminals and narrow apertures are visually striking in headlines, where the verticality and ornamentation can be appreciated without crowding.
