A heavy, sculpted serif with flared, wedge-like terminals and a distinctly carved feel. Strokes are robust with gently modulated contrast and pronounced, tapering joins that widen into the serifs, producing a strong vertical rhythm. Counters are compact and the apertures tend to be tight, giving the face a dense, ink-rich color in text. Uppercase forms read sturdy and monumental, while the lowercase shows a sturdy, oldstyle-like texture with weighty bowls and pronounced terminals; numerals match the same compact, emphatic construction.

Best suited to display settings such as headlines, magazine features, book jackets, and statement typography where strong presence is desirable. It can also support branding for institutions, events, or products that benefit from a traditional, authoritative voice, especially when set with generous tracking and leading.

The overall tone is authoritative and traditional, with a sense of gravity that feels at home in institutional or heritage contexts. Its sharp, flared endings add a slightly dramatic, poster-like edge that can read as assertive and ceremonial.

The design appears intended to deliver a bold, classical serif impression with flared terminals that enhance impact and give letterforms a chiseled, engraved character. Its proportions and dense texture prioritize presence and legibility in titles and prominent text over a light, airy reading color.

The wide, triangular serifs and tapered stroke endings create a crisp silhouette that remains recognizable at display sizes, while the dense interior spacing suggests it will look darkest in longer lines. The punctuation and figures carry the same carved, emphatic styling, helping headlines and short blocks feel cohesive.
