This serif typeface combines pronounced stroke contrast with tapered, flaring terminals that swell into the serifs rather than ending in blunt slabs. Vertical stems are strong and straight, while joins and serifs show smooth bracketing that creates a carved, slightly calligraphic feel. Counters are relatively compact and the overall fit is tight, producing a dense texture in text. The lowercase includes a two-storey a and g, with teardrop-like dots on i and j, and numerals that follow the same high-contrast, tapered logic for a cohesive set.

Best suited to display roles such as magazine headlines, pull quotes, book covers, posters, and brand marks where its contrast and flared terminals can be appreciated at larger sizes. It can also work for short editorial passages where a dense, authoritative texture is desired, but its sharp contrast suggests avoiding very small sizes or low-resolution reproduction.

The tone is formal and theatrical, with a fashion/editorial polish and a hint of old-style gravitas. Its sharp contrast and flared detailing give it a confident, attention-commanding voice suited to refined, high-impact typography.

The design appears intended to deliver a modern editorial serif with classical influence, using flared/bracketed terminals and strong contrast to create impact and sophistication while maintaining a disciplined, upright structure.

In running text, the combination of tight spacing, narrow proportions, and strong contrast creates a dark, rhythmic color with crisp word shapes. The flared stroke endings add motion at the baseline and cap line, helping headlines feel sculpted rather than purely mechanical.
