This serif shows sharply tapered hairlines against heavy, sculpted stems, producing a crisp, high-drama texture. Serifs are bracketed and wedge-like, with pointed terminals and a slightly calligraphic feel in the stroke endings. Capitals are tall and commanding with narrow interior counters, while lowercase forms keep a traditional, bookish construction with compact bowls and strong vertical stress. Numerals follow the same contrasty logic, mixing thick main strokes with fine entry/exit strokes and small, pointed details.

Best suited to headlines and display typography where the contrast and sharp detailing can be appreciated—magazine titles, editorial layouts, book covers, and dramatic poster work. It can also work for short pull quotes or section headings when a formal, high-impact serif voice is desired.

The overall tone is formal and editorial, with a sense of luxury and authority driven by the extreme thick–thin rhythm. It feels traditional and literary, but with enough sharpness to read as fashion-forward in headlines.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif reading voice with heightened contrast for maximum elegance and punch, echoing classic print aesthetics while remaining clean and contemporary in construction.

At larger sizes the hairline connections and sharp terminals become a defining feature, giving the type a crisp, engraved-like sparkle. In dense settings the weight and tight counters can create a dark color, emphasizing impact over softness.
