A crisp, bracketed serif with subtly flared terminals and a gently calligraphic modulation. The letterforms show clear thick–thin behavior without becoming delicate, with smoothly tapered joins and softened, sculpted stroke endings. Capitals are broad and stately with well-defined serifs; round letters (C, O, Q) keep an even, controlled curve and a tidy interior. Lowercase is compact and readable, with a two-storey a and g, a narrow, upright i with a round dot, and a lively, slightly angled ear on the g; numerals are oldstyle-leaning in feel with varied widths and traditional proportions.

Well-suited to book typography, long-form editorial layouts, and magazine text where a classic serif voice is desired. The controlled contrast and sturdy serifs support readability in paragraphs, while the sculpted terminals and strong capitals also work for headlines, identity systems, and premium packaging that calls for a traditional, refined feel.

The overall tone is traditional and composed, with a literary, editorial confidence. Flared finishing and bracketed serifs add warmth and a faint humanist touch, keeping the face from feeling mechanical. It reads as authoritative and cultivated—suited to settings where heritage and clarity matter.

The design appears intended as a contemporary take on a classic reading serif, combining dependable text performance with subtly expressive, flared detailing. It aims to deliver an established, authoritative voice while keeping the texture warm and human through tapered terminals and calligraphic shaping.

Spacing and rhythm appear steady in text, with solid word shapes and a consistent baseline presence. The design balances sharpness (in serifs and apexes) with gentle tapering, creating a polished texture at paragraph sizes while still offering enough character for display lines.
