A refined serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Capitals are stately and fairly wide, with smooth curves and a calm, vertical rhythm; the round letters show clear vertical stress and clean joins. Lowercase forms are compact and readable, with a two-storey a and g, a curved-foot y, and a long-tailed Q that adds a traditional flourish. Numerals appear lining and text-oriented, mixing straight stems with delicate curves and tapered terminals for a cohesive, bookish texture.

Well suited to editorial typography such as magazines, essays, and book interiors where a traditional serif voice is desired. It also works effectively for formal communications—programs, invitations, and certificates—and for brand applications that need a classic, premium typographic presence in headings and short passages.

The overall tone is classic and cultivated, leaning toward editorial sophistication rather than casual utility. Its sharp hairlines and measured proportions give it a poised, slightly ceremonial feel suited to premium, text-forward design.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-finesse text serif that prioritizes clarity and tradition while offering enough contrast and sharpness to feel polished in display use. Its restrained shapes and consistent rhythm suggest an aim for timeless readability with an upscale editorial character.

In paragraph settings the face maintains a smooth, even color while still showcasing its contrast, especially in the slender horizontals and serifs. The stroke modulation and open interior spaces keep larger sizes crisp and articulate, while smaller sizes may rely on adequate rendering and spacing to preserve the fine details.
