A slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharp, clean finishing. Serifs are compact and mostly bracketed, with a slightly sculpted, ink-trap-like feel in some joins and corners that helps keep counters open. The italic construction shows a strong rightward lean, narrow entry/exit strokes, and angled crossbars, creating a lively diagonal rhythm. Uppercase forms are crisp and upright in proportion while still following the italic logic, and the lowercase features a moderate x-height with relatively long ascenders and clear, open counters.

Well-suited to editorial typography—magazine features, book interiors, and refined headlines—where an italic voice is expected to carry emphasis with elegance. It can also serve for pull quotes, captions, and formal brand collateral when a classic, high-contrast texture is desired.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, with an editorial polish that feels suited to established institutions and print culture. Its sharp contrast and energetic slant add a sense of urgency and sophistication rather than softness or casualness.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast serif italic that reads clearly while offering a distinctly calligraphic, energetic texture. It prioritizes refined emphasis and traditional typographic color over geometric neutrality.

Spacing appears moderately tight in running text, and the rhythm is driven by repeated angled stems and tapered terminals. Numerals and capitals share the same crisp contrast and squared-off serif treatment, keeping the set consistent across text and display sizes.
