This typeface is a high-contrast serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and a distinctly calligraphic stroke model: thick verticals and hairline joins create a sharp black-and-white rhythm. Capitals are stately and relatively wide, with pronounced triangular/wedge-like terminals on forms like C, E, and S, and strong, structured diagonals in V and W. Lowercase shows compact, bookish proportions with a two-storey a and g, a narrow, sturdy e, and a slender, slightly arched f; ascenders are prominent and the overall spacing reads measured rather than airy. Numerals follow the same contrast logic, with elegant curves in 2, 3, and 8 and crisp, tapered terminals throughout.

Well-suited to book typography, magazine layouts, and other editorial applications that benefit from a classic serif voice. It also performs convincingly for elegant headlines, pull quotes, and formal collateral where a traditional, high-contrast texture is desired.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, with a polished, editorial feel. Its sharp hairlines and sculpted serifs lend a refined, slightly dramatic character that reads as literary and institutional rather than casual.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif with elevated contrast and carefully shaped terminals, aiming for a classic, print-oriented reading color and a refined presence in display settings. Its proportions and detailing suggest a balance between readability and visual elegance.

At text sizes the strong vertical emphasis and tight hairlines create a lively texture, while the wedge terminals add a distinctive sparkle in headings. The design feels most comfortable in print-like settings where its contrast and detailing can be appreciated without breaking up.
