A condensed, high-contrast serif with visibly roughened contours that mimic uneven inking and worn printing. Strokes show a calligraphic logic—thicker verticals and tapering joins—while serifs and terminals are sharp, slightly flared, and frequently chipped or feathered. Curves are tightened and the rhythm is compact, giving the alphabet a tall, sturdy presence; counters remain fairly open despite the texture. The overall finish is intentionally irregular, with edge noise and small inconsistencies that read as organic rather than geometric.

Best suited to display typography where its rough ink texture can be appreciated: posters, titles, book covers, and branding moments that want an aged or handcrafted voice. It can also work for short pulls or chapter headings in editorial contexts, but will be most effective when given enough size and breathing room to keep the distressed details from clogging.

The texture and sharp serif detailing evoke an old-world, printed-on-rough-paper character—part historical, part handmade. It feels theatrical and story-driven, with a slightly ominous or folkloric tone that suits vintage, fantasy, and “weathered” aesthetics.

The design appears intended to merge a classic serif foundation with a deliberately worn, hand-printed surface, delivering a vintage impression without becoming fully ornamental. It prioritizes atmosphere and tactile texture while keeping letterforms conventional enough to remain broadly legible in short passages.

In the sample text, the distressed edges remain prominent at display sizes and can start to soften fine details in smaller settings, especially around tight joins and thin hairlines. Numerals and capitals carry the strongest personality, while lowercase maintains a readable, traditional structure with an intentionally imperfect finish.
