This typeface is a slanted slab serif with sturdy, square-ended serifs and a relatively even stroke thickness. The construction mixes firm verticals with smooth, slightly calligraphic curves, producing a steady rhythm rather than strong thick–thin modulation. Serifs are blocky and attach cleanly, giving strokes a crisp, cut-in feel at joins and terminals. Capitals are compact and upright in structure while the overall slant adds motion; lowercase forms are compact with clear counters and a single-storey look where applicable (notably the ‘g’). Figures follow the same slanted, sturdy logic, with rounded shapes kept open and legible.

It performs well for editorial typography such as magazines, essays, and book interiors when an italic voice is needed with more presence than a conventional oldstyle italic. The sturdy slabs make it effective for headings, subheads, pull quotes, and packaging or labeling where a confident, crafted tone is desirable.

The combination of blocky slabs and an italic stance reads as confident and editorial—traditional in flavor but not delicate. It suggests a voice that is literary and persuasive, with a slightly brisk, energetic cadence suitable for emphasis and quoted matter.

The design appears intended to blend the emphasis and flow of an italic with the firmness and clarity of slab serifs. Its clean, unbracketed terminals and steady stroke weight aim for strong reproduction and a composed, authoritative texture in both display and longer snippets of text.

In text, the slant and slab serifs create a strong horizontal texture with clear word shapes, while the squarish terminals keep the impression crisp and print-minded. The design avoids fussy detailing, relying instead on consistent stroke endings and clear, rounded interior spaces for readability.
