A heavy, upright serif with sturdy proportions and a broad stance. Strokes are low-contrast and feel pressure-shaped, with stems that subtly swell and flare into bracketed serif endings rather than terminating mechanically. Curves are full and rounded (notably in C, G, O, and S), while joins and corners are gently softened, giving the outlines a slightly humanist, ink-on-paper character. Lowercase forms are compact and robust with a two-storey a and g, a generous x-height, and short, thick serifs that keep counters open at display sizes.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, and other large-scale typography where its flared serifs and stout shapes can project authority and warmth. It can also work well in editorial pull quotes, magazine covers, and brand-led applications like packaging or identity systems that want a classic, high-impact voice.

The overall tone is confident and traditional, with a warm, editorial seriousness. Its flared, inked-in terminals add a human, bookish feel that reads as established and trustworthy rather than cold or technical.

The design appears intended to combine traditional serif credibility with a bolder, more contemporary display presence, using flared stroke endings and softened joins to evoke an inked, crafted texture while maintaining clear, sturdy letterforms.

The numerals are similarly weighty and stable, suited to prominent setting; the 1 is simple and upright, while rounded figures (0, 8, 9) maintain large interior spaces. Across the sample text, the rhythm is dense and emphatic, favoring strong word shapes and headline impact over delicate detail.
