This serif design shows strong thick–thin modulation with smooth, bracketed serifs and gently tapered stroke endings. Curves are full and round (notably in C, O, and the bowls of B and P), while verticals stay steady and upright, producing a composed, text-oriented rhythm. The lowercase has compact, sturdy forms with two‑storey a and g, a moderate x-height, and a relatively narrow, traditional footprint; spacing appears even and comfortable in the sample text. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with oldstyle-like proportions and pronounced terminals that harmonize with the letters.

Well suited to body text in books, essays, and editorial layouts where a classic serif voice is desired. It can also work for headlines, pull quotes, and formal branding when set with generous leading to let the contrast and detailing read cleanly.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, with a calm, authoritative presence. Its high-contrast modulation and refined serifs give it a formal, editorial feel suited to established institutions and long-form reading contexts.

The design appears intended as a conventional, readable serif with a refined, classical texture—balancing strong contrast and elegant detailing with clear, familiar letterforms for continuous reading.

Serifs are consistently bracketed and slightly flared, and many joins and terminals have a subtle calligraphic finish rather than blunt cutoffs. The italic is not shown, but the upright roman demonstrates a cohesive, classic construction across capitals, lowercase, and figures.
