A tightly condensed blackletter with tall, vertical proportions and a strongly modular, faceted construction. Strokes are heavy and uniform-looking at a glance, but the forms show clear contrast through sharp corners, wedge-like terminals, and broken joins typical of pen-derived lettering. Counters are narrow and often partially closed, with pointed apexes and clipped shoulders that create a rhythmic sequence of black vertical stems. The capitals are especially towering and rigid, while the lowercase keeps a compact x-height with narrow bowls and minimal lateral spread; numerals follow the same compressed, chiseled silhouette.

Best suited to display settings where a historic or gothic voice is desired: logotypes, mastheads, posters, album/film titles, and packaging labels. It works well at larger sizes where the internal cuts and angles can be clearly seen, and where a dense, authoritative texture is a feature rather than a drawback.

The overall tone is emphatic and historic, evoking manuscript tradition, proclamations, and old-world authority. Its dense texture and blade-like details feel dramatic and stern, making it read as ceremonial and slightly ominous rather than casual.

The design appears intended to deliver a compact, high-impact blackletter look with disciplined vertical rhythm and crisp, carved-looking terminals. It prioritizes atmosphere and tradition over neutral readability, aiming for strong presence in short phrases and prominent titles.

In text, the type produces a dark, continuous “picket-fence” texture with strong vertical cadence, where separation between similar letters relies on small notches and internal angles. The sharp terminals and narrow apertures heighten the ornamental character, while the consistent vertical alignment keeps the color steady across lines.
