A classic serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and bracketed serifs that soften joins into the stems. Curves show a gently calligraphic stress, with rounded bowls and tapered strokes that create a lively rhythm in both uppercase and lowercase. The uppercase has sturdy, bookish proportions with confident verticals, while the lowercase leans traditional with a two-storey a, a compact double-storey g, and a readable, open e. Numerals appear lining and serifed, with clear differentiation and restrained, elegant curves that match the text weight.

Well-suited to long-form reading in books, essays, and editorial layouts where a traditional serif texture is desired. It also works effectively for headlines, pull quotes, and formal branding that benefits from a classic, authoritative typographic voice.

The overall tone is traditional and composed, evoking established publishing and editorial typography. Its contrast and refined detailing lend it a dignified, slightly dramatic voice without becoming ornate, making it feel trustworthy and scholarly.

The design appears intended as a conventional, readable serif with a polished, publishing-oriented finish—balancing strong contrast and crisp detailing with familiar, time-tested proportions for dependable text setting.

The font’s contrast and sharp interior corners give it a crisp printed character, while the bracketing keeps it from feeling brittle. At larger sizes it reads as elegant and emphatic; in text, it maintains a steady, familiar texture with clear letterforms.
