A serif display face built from sturdy, fairly uniform stems that are visually “carved” with a narrow inline channel running through much of each stroke. Serifs are sharp and bracketed-to-minimal, with triangular wedge-like terminals that give a crisp, engraved edge. Curves (C, O, G, a, e) are smooth and rounded but keep a taut, controlled rhythm, while the inline detail creates a consistent inner contour that varies slightly in placement across glyphs for a lively texture. The lowercase is compact and traditional in structure, with a two-storey a and single-storey g, and the figures echo the same engraved treatment for a cohesive set.

Best suited to headlines, titles, pull quotes, and other display applications where the inline engraving can be appreciated. It can add a premium, vintage-leaning voice to branding and packaging, and works well for book covers, event posters, and editorial spreads when paired with a simpler text face for body copy.

The inline carving reads as ornamental and print-like, evoking engraved letterpress, old-style titling, and boutique editorial typography. It feels confident and formal, with a touch of theatrical flair created by the inner cut and sharp terminals. Overall, the tone is classic and refined rather than playful or casual.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif silhouette enhanced by an engraved inline treatment, adding decoration without changing the underlying proportions. It aims to provide an upscale, period-tinged display option that stands out through internal carving rather than extreme weight or width.

The internal inline increases texture and perceived contrast, especially at larger sizes where the cut detail becomes a key part of the letterform. In dense settings, the inner channel can create dark/light flicker, so spacing and size choices will strongly affect readability and overall color.
