A dense, broken-stroke blackletter with strong vertical emphasis and sharply faceted curves. Stems are heavy and dark, with abrupt angle changes, wedge-like terminals, and pointed spurs that create a crisp, chiseled silhouette. Counters tend to be tight and partially enclosed, while capitals are more elaborate with prominent interior cuts and decorative hooks. Spacing feels compact and rhythmic, producing an even dark “texture” across lines despite the highly articulated shapes.

Best suited to display typography such as headlines, posters, wordmarks, and themed branding where a historic or ceremonial feel is desired. It also fits labels, packaging, invitations, and certificate-style layouts where a compact, dark blackletter texture can carry the design. For longer passages, it works most comfortably when given generous size and spacing.

The tone is historically charged and ceremonial, evoking manuscripts, heraldry, and traditional print ephemera. Its sharp edges and dark color give it a severe, dramatic voice suited to solemn or authoritative messaging, with an ornamental edge that reads as classic and crafted rather than casual.

The design appears intended to deliver an authentic blackletter voice with a strong, dark rhythm and crisp, angular detailing. Its consistent vertical structure and ornamental capitals suggest a focus on impact and tradition, prioritizing atmosphere and period character in display settings.

Numerals and lowercase maintain the same broken, vertical construction, keeping the overall color consistent in running text. The sample text shows strong presence at display sizes, with distinctive capital forms that can dominate a headline and lend a formal, old-world character.
