This is an italic serif with a calligraphic, oldstyle flavor and bracketed wedge-like serifs. Strokes show a clear diagonal stress with moderate thick–thin modulation, and many terminals finish in tapered, slightly hooked forms that give the face a lively rhythm. Proportions are moderately narrow with generous curves and open counters; the italic slant is steady and consistent across capitals, lowercase, and figures. The lowercase includes a single-storey a and g, a long, flowing f, and a descender on y that sweeps into a curved tail, reinforcing an expressive text-italic character.

It suits long-form reading and editorial typography where an expressive italic is needed for emphasis, quotations, or secondary voice within a serif text system. It also works well for literary or cultural titles and refined print materials that benefit from a classical italic texture.

The overall tone feels traditional and bookish, with an elegant, slightly dramatic italic voice. It reads as cultured and editorial rather than casual, combining formality with a human, handwritten undercurrent.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif italic that delivers comfortable readability while adding a distinctly calligraphic, traditional personality. Its balanced contrast and carefully shaped serifs aim to maintain clarity at text sizes without losing the graceful, flowing cadence expected of a classic italic.

Capitals are stately and slightly condensed, with crisp entry/exit strokes that keep word shapes dynamic in running text. Numerals follow the same italic ductus, blending smoothly into text settings rather than standing apart as rigid lining figures.
