This is a high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation, sharp wedge-like terminals, and compact bracketed serifs that give strokes a crisp, carved finish. Uppercase forms are stately and slightly narrow in feel, with strong vertical stress and clean, sharply cut joins. The lowercase shows a traditional book face structure with a two-storey a and g, sturdy stems, and moderately open counters; the italic is not shown, and all forms appear upright. Numerals are lining-style with clear, old-style-inspired shaping cues (notably the curved 2 and the open, angled 4), designed to read well at display and text sizes.

It is well suited to editorial typography such as magazine headlines, pull quotes, and book titling, where the contrast and sharp terminals can add sophistication. It can also serve in premium branding and packaging, especially when set at medium to large sizes to showcase its sculpted details.

The overall tone is refined and editorial, projecting tradition, confidence, and a slightly dramatic elegance typical of high-contrast book and magazine serifs. It feels formal without becoming ornate, suited to serious content and premium presentation.

The design appears intended as a contemporary take on a conventional text serif with elevated contrast and sharper finishing, balancing classical construction with a more dramatic, print-forward presence for editorial use.

Spacing and rhythm look even in the sample setting, with strong verticals and crisp terminals creating a lively texture. The sharp triangular cues on letters like A, V, W, and y add a distinctive, slightly assertive edge while maintaining conventional proportions.
