A right-leaning serif with crisp, sharply tapered strokes and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Serifs are small and wedge-like with gentle bracketing, giving terminals a pointed, energetic finish rather than a blunt slab feel. The forms are compact and sturdy, with tight internal spaces in letters like a, e, and s, and a slightly condensed rhythm in caps. Numerals follow the same calligraphic stress, with a distinctly slanted 1 and flowing curves in 2, 3, and 9.

Well suited to editorial settings such as magazine features, book typography, and pull quotes where a classic italic voice is desired. It can also work for refined branding, headlines, and packaging that benefit from a traditional serif impression with added motion from the slant.

The overall tone feels traditional and bookish, with an editorial polish and a touch of drama from the strong contrast and forward slant. It conveys authority and formality while still reading as lively and expressive, making it feel more like a classic print italic than a purely neutral workhorse.

The design reads as an interpretation of conventional text serifs tuned toward an italic, print-centric voice—combining sharp contrast and wedge-like serifs to achieve a crisp, authoritative texture. Its proportions and stroke behavior suggest an aim for classic readability with a more emphatic, expressive presence than a purely neutral text face.

Spacing appears consistent and robust at larger sizes, where the sharp joins and tapered serifs read clearly. At smaller sizes, the combination of dense counters and high contrast may call for careful sizing and line spacing to maintain clarity in continuous text.
