A compact serif with tall proportions and tight internal spaces, set on an upright axis. Stems read sturdy and fairly even, while the joins and terminals introduce noticeable contrast and crisp edges. Serifs are small and bracketed with sharp, slightly tapered endings, giving many letters a pinched, pointed finish. Round characters are narrow and vertical, and the overall rhythm is dense, with a slightly calligraphic bite in details like the angled arms and tapered terminals.

Well-suited to space-conscious typography such as book interiors, newspapers, and editorial layouts where a dense text color is desirable. Its compact proportions also make it useful for captions, sidebars, and narrow columns, while the sharp serif detailing can add authority to headings and poster-style copy when set with adequate leading.

The font feels editorial and old-world in tone—formal without being ornate. Its narrow, insistent rhythm and sharp terminals add a slightly dramatic, printed-page character that reads as serious and traditional rather than friendly or casual.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif optimized for tight measures: narrow rounds, compact counters, and crisp bracketed serifs create an efficient page texture. The pointed terminals and slightly tense details suggest an aim for a distinctive, print-leaning voice while remaining within familiar book-serif conventions.

Capitals show pronounced verticality with compact bowls (notably in B, D, P, R) and narrow rounds (C, O, Q). Lowercase forms keep a firm, upright stance; the a is double-storey and the g appears single-storey with a compact loop. Numerals are similarly narrow and vertical, matching the text color and reinforcing the condensed, economical texture.
