This typeface is a right-leaning serif with sculpted, flared stroke endings and sharply tapered terminals that often read as small wedges. Strokes show a calligraphic modulation with crisp transitions into thin joins, giving curves (C, S, O) a carved, blade-like feeling. Serifs are bracketed and energetic rather than static, and many letters feature angled entry/exit strokes that reinforce the forward motion. Proportions feel slightly compact with firm, sturdy stems, while the overall rhythm alternates between broad bowls and narrow joins for a lively texture in text.

It performs best where its energetic serif shaping can be seen—magazine headlines, book and film titling, chapter openers, and brand marks that want a classic yet forceful voice. In longer passages it creates a textured, lively color, making it suitable for pull quotes and editorial subheads where emphasis and motion are desirable.

The tone is confident and traditional with a dramatic, slightly swash-like italic energy. It evokes literary and editorial settings—refined but not delicate—bringing a sense of momentum and emphasis that feels suited to expressive headlines and strong typographic statements.

The design appears intended to merge traditional serif structure with a more calligraphic, flared finishing that heightens contrast at terminals and adds forward drive. Its italic construction prioritizes expressiveness and readability at display sizes while preserving a cohesive, classical framework.

Uppercase forms read formal and authoritative, while the lowercase shows more calligraphic character in letters like a, f, g, and y, where tapered terminals and angled strokes are especially pronounced. Numerals share the same sharp terminal language, maintaining consistency in mixed text.
