The lowercase shows a traditional, text-oriented construction with a two-storey a, open counters, and a lively italic-like stress in curves; the g is double-storey with an expressive ear, and the j has a distinctive leftward hook. Numerals appear oldstyle, mixing ascenders and descenders for a more bookish rhythm.
