A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisply bracketed serifs that often flare as they meet the stem. Capitals are stately and relatively narrow with sharp apexes (notably in A, V, W) and clean, chiselled terminals. The lowercase shows a traditional, text-oriented construction with a two-storey a, open counters, and a lively italic-like stress in curves; the g is double-storey with an expressive ear, and the j has a distinctive leftward hook. Numerals appear oldstyle, mixing ascenders and descenders for a more bookish rhythm.

Well-suited to editorial systems—magazines, journals, and book typography—where its contrast and classical proportions can carry long-form reading with a polished voice. It also performs strongly in headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding where a sophisticated serif presence is desired.

The overall tone is refined and cultivated, combining a classical book-face feel with a slightly dramatic, fashion-forward edge from the strong contrast and flared serif treatment. It reads as confident and prestigious rather than casual, lending a sense of tradition and authority.

The design appears intended as a contemporary take on a classic text serif: comfortable and readable in paragraphs, but with enough contrast and flare to create a distinctive, premium personality in display sizes.

Spacing and rhythm feel comfortable in continuous text, with clearly differentiated letterforms and generous counters supporting legibility at reading sizes. The design shows subtle calligraphic influence in joins and curves, while maintaining crisp, modern finishing in terminals and serifs.
