A high-contrast serif with a strong vertical axis and crisp, bracketed serifs. The design pairs heavy main stems with hairline cross-strokes and thin connecting curves, producing a sharply etched texture in both caps and lowercase. Proportions lean compact with relatively narrow counters and tight apertures in letters like c, e, and s, while rounded forms (o, O) stay fairly tall and controlled. Numerals follow the same contrast and stance, with open, elegant curves and pronounced thick–thin transitions.

Well suited to headlines, magazine typography, book jackets, and title treatments where its contrast and crisp serifs can be appreciated. It can also support premium branding and packaging, especially when set with generous tracking or used for short, high-impact phrases.

The overall tone feels formal and editorial, with a commanding, traditional voice. Its dramatic thick–thin rhythm reads as refined and serious, evoking bookish authority and a touch of luxury. The texture is assertive rather than casual, suited to designs that want clarity and gravitas.

The letterforms suggest an intention to deliver a contemporary take on classic text-serif conventions, emphasizing elegance through pronounced contrast and disciplined proportions. The design appears aimed at producing an impactful, refined typographic color for editorial and display contexts.

At larger sizes the hairline details and sharp terminals create a polished, engraved-like finish. In dense settings the strong contrast and compact counters increase visual intensity, making spacing and line length feel important for comfortable reading.
