A distressed serif with a print-worn surface: strokes are mostly steady in weight but break into ragged, deckled edges and occasional blotting, as if pulled from a rough letterpress impression. Serif forms read as oldstyle and slightly calligraphic, with tapered terminals, modest contrast, and uneven stroke endings that soften the silhouette. Uppercase proportions are traditional and fairly wide, while the lowercase is compact with a relatively small x-height and tall ascenders/descenders, creating a noticeably vertical rhythm. Spacing feels a touch irregular and organic, and round letters show gently lopsided curves that reinforce the handmade texture.

Best suited to display typography where texture is an asset—titles, posters, packaging, and branding that wants an aged or handcrafted feel. It also works for book covers, chapter heads, and pull quotes where the short x-height and distressed edges can add period flavor without relying on ornament.

The overall tone is antique and tactile, evoking weathered print, parchment, and hand-inked signage. Its imperfections feel intentional and human, giving text a rustic, storybook character with a hint of historical drama.

The design appears intended to mimic worn, imperfect printing with classic serif letterforms, prioritizing atmosphere and materiality over pristine uniformity. Its consistent distress across letters and numbers suggests a deliberate effort to deliver a ready-made vintage texture for thematic, narrative-driven typography.

In longer passages the texture becomes the dominant feature: dark joins and broken edges add visual noise, which can enhance atmosphere but can also reduce clarity at small sizes. The numerals and capitals carry the same worn treatment, helping headlines and short statements feel cohesive and authentically aged.
