A high-contrast serif with a distinctly sculpted, slightly calligraphic build. Stems are firm and vertical, while strokes taper into sharpened, flared terminals and bracketed serifs that feel carved rather than purely mechanical. Curves are clean and controlled, with a lively thick–thin modulation that gives counters an elegant sparkle. Uppercase forms read stately and compact, while the lowercase shows more movement in bowls and joins, creating an active texture in running text; figures follow the same contrasty, engraved logic with pronounced teardrop-like terminals.

Well suited to magazine and newspaper-style layouts, book jackets, and literary or cultural branding where a classic serif voice is desired. It performs particularly well for headlines, pull quotes, and short-to-medium text where its contrast and sculpted terminals can contribute character and hierarchy.

The overall tone is traditional and polished, with an editorial seriousness that still feels energetic. Its sharp terminals and engraved contrast suggest craft and heritage, lending a confident, bookish authority without becoming overly delicate.

The font appears designed to evoke a contemporary take on classical, engraved serif typography: strong vertical structure paired with expressive tapering and flared endings to create a refined, authoritative reading texture. The intention seems to balance tradition and crisp modernity for editorial and branding contexts.

The design maintains a consistent contrast model across capitals, lowercase, and numerals, producing strong word shapes at display sizes. Several glyphs show intentionally sharpened joins and tapered entry/exit strokes, which adds bite and clarity but also increases the sense of formality.
