This serif typeface shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with crisp, bracketed serifs and a relatively narrow, vertically oriented stress. Capitals are stately and well-proportioned, with sharp terminals and clean joins; round forms remain open and controlled, while diagonals are sleek and tapered. The lowercase has compact, sturdy construction with clear counters, a two-storey “g,” and a pointed, slightly calligraphic “y,” producing an even text color despite the high contrast. Numerals follow the same refined model, mixing straight, chiseled strokes with elegantly tapered curves.

Well-suited to book and long-form editorial typography where a classic serif voice is desired. It also performs effectively for magazine features, academic or cultural content, and refined headlines or pull quotes that benefit from sharp contrast and traditional proportions.

The overall tone is traditional and polished, evoking established publishing and institutional typography. Its high-contrast rhythm and crisp finishing details feel formal and composed, lending an authoritative voice without becoming decorative.

The design appears intended as a conventional, book-oriented serif that balances refined, high-contrast detailing with dependable readability. Its restrained, classical forms suggest a focus on serious text setting and editorial credibility rather than overt stylistic novelty.

In running text, the typeface maintains a steady baseline and consistent internal spacing, with sharp serifs that help define word shapes. The contrast becomes more noticeable at larger sizes, where the tapered curves and bracket transitions read as deliberate, classical detailing.
