A high-contrast serif with crisp hairlines and weighty verticals, showing a distinctly tapered, flared feel at stroke endings. Serifs are sharp and wedge-like with gentle bracketing, giving terminals a carved, calligraphic finish rather than blunt slabs. Curves are taut and smooth with pronounced thick–thin modulation, and the overall rhythm is steady and formal, with slightly narrow internal counters and carefully controlled apertures. Numerals and capitals read stately and structured, while the lowercase keeps a traditional book-face profile with clear, well-defined joins and terminals.

This design performs especially well in editorial typography—magazine headlines, section openers, pull quotes, and book or report titling—where its contrast and flared endings add sophistication. It can also support premium branding and packaging when set with generous spacing and paired with a restrained sans for contrast.

The tone is polished and literary, balancing classical gravity with a fashion-forward sharpness. It feels confident and refined, suited to settings that want sophistication without excessive ornament.

The design appears intended to deliver a contemporary take on a classic high-contrast serif: authoritative and readable, yet visually distinctive through tapered, flared stroke endings and sharp, elegant finishing. It aims to provide a refined voice for display and editorial composition while maintaining disciplined proportions and consistent rhythm.

The most distinctive character comes from the combination of strong vertical emphasis and tapered flare at the ends of strokes, which creates a subtle engraved or chiseled impression in both display sizes and larger text. Round letters maintain a clean, symmetrical presence, and diagonals (like in V/W/X) keep sharp, decisive vertices that enhance the crisp overall texture.
