A bold, high-contrast serif with a distinctly sculpted, engraved feel. Stems are robust and largely vertical, with sharp triangular and beak-like terminals that read as incised rather than softly bracketed. Many letters show an inline cut/inner contour that creates a chiseled, dimensional effect, especially in round forms and on heavy strokes. Curves are tight and controlled, counters are relatively compact, and the overall rhythm is sturdy and deliberate with slightly varied character widths.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, and display sizes where the internal cut detail and sharp terminals can be clearly seen. It can work effectively for editorial titling, book and magazine covers, heritage branding, and premium packaging; for long-form body text it will generally be more comfortable at larger sizes with generous spacing due to the strong contrast and compact counters.

The tone is formal and traditional, with a strong editorial gravitas. The incised detailing adds a ceremonial, old-world sophistication—suggesting heritage, institutions, and high-end print—while the heavy weight keeps it assertive and attention-getting.

The design appears intended to modernize a conventional serif with an engraved, dimensional twist—combining familiar text-serifs proportions with incised detailing to increase drama and presence in display settings.

Uppercase forms feel stately and poster-ready, while lowercase retains a conventional text-serifs structure but with pronounced terminal shaping and consistent inner cuts. Numerals are bold and display-oriented, with the same chiseled contrast and crisp finishing, giving them strong presence in headings and pull quotes.
