A high-contrast serif with crisp, tapered serifs and strongly modulated strokes that create a formal, print-like rhythm. The capitals are wide and stately with sharply defined joins, while the lowercase shows compact, sturdy bowls and clear counters that hold up well at display-to-text sizes. Several glyphs feature distinctive ball terminals and sweeping curves (notably on g, a, and y), adding movement without becoming decorative. Numerals are traditional and weighty, with pronounced thick–thin transitions and clear silhouettes suited to headings and text settings alike.

Well suited to editorial headlines, magazine typography, and book work where a classic serif voice is desired. It can also support refined branding and packaging that benefit from a traditional, high-contrast serif with strong letterforms and clear readability.

The overall tone is traditional and editorial, with a confident, authoritative presence that reads as bookish and established. Its contrast and crisp finishing convey refinement and formality, while the occasional rounded terminals and curved tails add a subtle warmth and sophistication.

Designed to evoke a conventional, literary serif tradition with pronounced stroke modulation and carefully shaped terminals, aiming for clarity and authority in continuous reading while retaining enough character for display use. The combination of crisp serifs, disciplined proportions, and a few expressive lowercase details suggests an intention to balance classic restraint with subtle personality.

Curves are smooth and generously rounded in bowls, contrasted by sharp, narrow entry/exit strokes and pointed apexes in letters like A and V. Spacing appears even and deliberate in the sample text, producing a dense, typographic color that feels appropriate for serious content and classic typography.
