A sharply modulated serif italic with pronounced thick–thin strokes and a clear, calligraphic construction. Serifs are finely bracketed and tapered, with pointed wedge-like endings on many strokes, while curves show crisp hairlines and swelling stems. The italic slant is assertive, with energetic diagonals and flowing joins; several lowercase forms lean toward an oldstyle feel, including a single-storey a and g and a lively, looped y. Counters are moderately open, spacing is compact in text, and the numerals read as oldstyle figures with descending forms that add a bookish texture.

Well suited to editorial typography such as magazine features, book typography, and pull quotes where an expressive italic can carry tone and hierarchy. It can also work for high-end packaging or cultural branding that benefits from a classic serif voice, especially at display sizes where the hairlines and brackets remain crisp.

The overall tone is traditional and editorial, combining refinement with a sense of drama from the strong stroke modulation and emphatic italic angle. It feels literary and formal, suitable for settings where a classic, high-style voice is desired.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif italic with elevated contrast and a distinctly calligraphic cadence, balancing readable letterforms with a more expressive, elegant slant for emphasis and display within editorial systems.

Uppercase letters maintain a dignified, inscription-like presence with sharp internal contrast, while lowercase forms bring more movement through curved entry strokes and ball-like terminals in places. The figures integrate with text rather than standing apart, reinforcing a continuous, page-oriented rhythm.
