This is a serif italic with a smooth, calligraphic slant and gently bracketed serifs. Strokes show moderated contrast with tapered terminals and subtly cupped, flowing joins, giving the letters a continuous, pen-influenced rhythm rather than a rigid geometric build. Capitals are relatively open and restrained, while the lowercase leans into cursive-like forms with single-storey a and g, soft entry strokes, and long, elegant extenders. Numerals follow the same italic, oldstyle-leaning logic, with angled stress and refined curves that keep the texture light and even in running text.

It works especially well for extended italic text in books and editorial layouts, such as emphasis, introductions, forewords, and pull quotes. The restrained contrast and open counters also make it suitable for captions and refined ancillary text where a classical italic voice is desired.

The overall tone is traditional and cultured, with an editorial, bookish elegance. Its italic forms feel expressive without becoming showy, suggesting a confident, classical voice suited to refined reading experiences.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif italic that prioritizes smooth reading rhythm and traditional proportions, while adding a subtle calligraphic character for emphasis and elegance in continuous text.

In paragraph settings the texture stays airy and consistent, with clear word shapes formed by the pronounced italic rhythm and varied extenders. The italics read as integral to the design (not merely mechanically slanted), with distinctive, flowing shapes in letters like f, j, y, and the curved italic construction of k and v.
