A delicate, high-contrast serif with hairline connecting strokes and sharp, tapered serifs that read as lightly bracketed rather than slabby. Capitals are poised and relatively narrow with generous internal space, while curves (C, G, O, Q) are smooth and open, with a long, graceful Q tail. Lowercase forms are compact and traditional, with a two-storey a and g, a narrow e with a fine crossbar, and a slender, slightly curved f; the overall rhythm is measured, with fine joins and crisp terminals that emphasize a polished, print-oriented look. Numerals follow the same thin–thick logic, with elegant, old-style-like modulation and distinctive curves (notably 2, 3, and 9).

Well-suited to editorial layouts, book typography, and magazine settings where an elegant, high-contrast serif can provide a refined texture. It also works effectively for invitations, cultural programs, and upscale branding headlines, especially when set with ample leading and careful tracking.

The tone is quiet and sophisticated, leaning toward editorial and bookish refinement rather than loud display. Its slender strokes and sharp detailing convey formality and a sense of luxury, while the classic proportions keep it familiar and credible for traditional typography.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic text-serif voice with a distinctly delicate, high-contrast finish—prioritizing grace, clarity of form, and a polished page color over robustness. It aims to evoke traditional print sophistication while remaining versatile for both display and reading sizes in well-controlled layouts.

At larger sizes the fine serifs and hairlines show a clean, precise sparkle; the design’s contrast and narrow joins make spacing and line height feel important for comfortable reading. The punctuation and dots (notably i/j) appear small and crisp, reinforcing the overall light, airy color on the page.
