A slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a distinctly sculpted, flaring stroke finish. Serifs are small but assertive, often wedge-like and bracketed into the stems, giving terminals a carved, ink-on-paper feel rather than a purely mechanical construction. Curves are generous and slightly tensioned, with rounded joins and tapered entries/exits that create lively rhythm across words. Uppercase forms feel stately and compact in their counters, while the lowercase shows a more cursive, flowing structure with a single-storey “a” and a lively “g,” reinforcing an overall calligraphic texture.

It performs best where expressive contrast and an elegant slant can be appreciated—headlines, pull quotes, magazine and newspaper styling, book covers, and display typography for branding or packaging. In longer passages it will feel bold and attention-grabbing, making it especially effective for short blocks, intros, and titling rather than quiet, small-size reading.

The typeface reads as confident and dramatic, with a refined, old-world voice suited to formal and literary contexts. Its energetic slant and high modulation add urgency and elegance at the same time, evoking editorial headlines, book culture, and heritage branding.

The design appears intended to blend classical serif structure with a more calligraphic, flared finishing, creating a display-forward italic that feels both traditional and animated. The goal is likely strong personality and authority without sacrificing the familiar cues of a bookish serif.

Spacing appears moderately tight in text, producing a dense, emphatic color that favors larger sizes. Numerals and capitals share the same sharp contrast and tapered finishing, helping mixed-case settings stay consistent and authoritative.
