A robust italic serif with pronounced, bracketed serifs and a distinctly calligraphic, right-leaning construction. Strokes show moderate thick–thin modulation with an oblique stress, and terminals tend to be tapered or subtly sheared rather than blunt. The capitals are wide and stable with strong serifs and slightly flared joins, while the lowercase forms are compact and energetic, with looped, descending forms (notably in g, j, y) and a lively baseline rhythm. Numerals follow the same slanted, serifed logic, reading as old-style influenced in feel even when set on a consistent line, and they maintain clear differentiation across similar shapes.

Well-suited for editorial typography such as magazine features, book interiors, and pull quotes where an italic voice is needed with real presence. It also works effectively for headings and subheads that want a classic serif personality and a confident, traditional texture.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, conveying authority and a cultivated, editorial voice. Its slanted movement and calligraphic shaping add warmth and momentum, keeping the texture from feeling rigid while still remaining decidedly formal.

The design appears intended as a conventional, readable serif italic with heightened emphasis—combining classic text-serif proportions with a more forceful, display-capable weight and a calligraphic slant for expressive emphasis.

In text, the strong serifs and firm stroke weight create a dark, assertive color with clear word shapes and a steady cadence. The italic angle is noticeable but controlled, and the letterforms retain conventional proportions that support familiar reading patterns.
