A heavy, display-oriented serif with a tall x-height and compact counters, built from straight stems and squared curves. Serifs are sharply bracketed and often end in triangular or notched terminals, giving many joins a carved, beveled look. The overall geometry is upright and rigid, with boxy bowls (notably in O/C/D) and clipped interior corners that reinforce the stencil-like, machined rhythm. Numerals and capitals share the same blocky silhouette and consistent vertical stress, creating a dense, poster-ready texture.

Best suited to short, bold statements such as posters, headlines, wordmarks, labels, and signage where its crisp, notched serifs can be appreciated. It can work for themed editorial or title treatments, but is most effective at larger sizes where the carved details and angular joins stay clear.

The tone is assertive and historicizing, blending gothic signage cues with a frontier poster feel. Its chiseled terminals and fortress-like shapes read as authoritative and ceremonial, suggesting tradition, strength, and a touch of theatrical drama.

The design appears intended to evoke engraved or wood-type traditions through beveled corners, bracketed serifs, and square, high-contrast forms, prioritizing impact and character over neutrality. It aims for a distinctive display voice that feels sturdy, formal, and vintage-inspired.

In continuous text the tight apertures and strong interior corners create pronounced dark patterns, especially where verticals repeat. The lowercase keeps the same hard-edged construction as the caps, so mixed-case settings maintain a uniform, imposing color rather than softening into a bookish texture.
