A robust, right-leaning serif with pronounced contrast and a distinctly calligraphic construction. Strokes show tapered joins and teardrop-like terminals, with bracketed wedge serifs that feel carved rather than mechanical. Capitals are broad and weighty with crisp edges, while the lowercase features lively entry/exit strokes, a single-storey a and g, and generous, rounded counters that keep the texture open despite the heavy weight. Figures are similarly sturdy and slightly angled, matching the overall slanted rhythm and giving numerals a punchy, display-friendly presence.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, and large typographic statements where its high-contrast strokes and expressive italic rhythm can be appreciated. It can also work for short editorial callouts, pull quotes, and book-cover titling where a classic serif voice with extra momentum is desired.

The tone is traditional and editorial, with the drama and confidence of an old-style italic used at headline scale. It reads as authoritative and literary, but with enough flourish in the curves and terminals to feel expressive rather than strictly reserved.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with an amplified italic voice—combining classic proportions with bold contrast, strong slant, and decorative terminals for attention-grabbing editorial typography.

Spacing appears intentionally generous, and the strong diagonal stress creates a continuous, energetic flow in running text. The italic is emphatic and graphic, with distinctive shapes in letters like Q, R, and the lowercase f that contribute to a recognizable silhouette.
