This italic serif has a classic, book-oriented construction with gently bracketed serifs, tapered terminals, and a steady diagonal stress. Strokes show moderate thick–thin modulation without becoming delicate, and curves are smoothly modeled for a continuous reading rhythm. The italic is fairly slanted with clearly cursive lowercase forms (single-storey a and g), a flowing f, and a looped y, while capitals remain upright in structure but follow the same italic inclination. Numerals are oldstyle figures with pronounced ascenders/descenders, giving the set a lively baseline texture in running text.

This face is well suited to italic roles in long-form settings such as books, journals, and editorial layouts, where its moderate contrast and traditional forms support sustained reading. It also works for pull quotes, subheads, captions, and other emphasis styles that benefit from a refined, classic italic texture.

The overall tone is formal and literary, with a composed, traditional voice that feels suited to edited prose and historically grounded design. Its italic character reads expressive rather than flashy, adding warmth and emphasis while staying within a conventional serif vocabulary.

The design appears intended as a conventional text italic with oldstyle warmth: readable, rhythmically consistent, and expressive enough for emphasis without departing from a traditional serif framework.

Bowls and joins are rounded and well integrated, and many terminals finish with small teardrop-like or softly hooked forms typical of text italics. The sample text shows an even color and comfortable spacing, with enough stroke presence to hold up at moderate sizes while retaining a graceful, calligraphic cadence.
