This is a conventional serif with bracketed serifs, pronounced stroke modulation, and a calm, bookish rhythm. The capitals are stately and evenly proportioned, with sharp, well-defined serifs and subtly tapered strokes that suggest calligraphic influence rather than purely geometric construction. Lowercase forms show open apertures and rounded bowls, with a two-storey “a” and “g” and sturdy vertical stems; the “f” and “t” have compact cross-strokes and restrained extenders. Numerals appear oldstyle (text figures), mixing ascenders and descenders with curved, gently modulated strokes for smooth integration in running text.

Well-suited to long-form reading such as books, essays, and editorial layouts where a traditional serif voice is desired. It also works effectively for headlines, pull quotes, and formal collateral that benefits from a classic, trustworthy typographic presence.

The overall tone is traditional and editorial, projecting a sense of credibility and quiet sophistication. Its high-contrast detail and crisp finishing lend a refined, slightly ceremonial character without becoming ornamental.

The design appears intended as a general-purpose, classic text serif: readable in paragraphs, authoritative in tone, and detailed enough to add typographic refinement in display settings.

In paragraph settings the face produces a clear vertical rhythm and a relatively dark, steady color, while the pointed joins and tapered diagonals add sparkle at larger sizes. The italic shown in the sample leans moderately and keeps the same sharp, serifed construction, emphasizing a classic, book-typographic feel.
