A high-contrast serif with a deliberately degraded outline, where strokes look printed or inked and then chipped away. Letterforms keep a classic, oldstyle-inspired skeleton—bracket-like serifs, tapered terminals, and moderately irregular curves—while edges are rough, pitted, and intermittently broken. Counters remain mostly open and readable, but many glyphs show small voids and burrs along stems and serifs, creating a consistent worn texture across capitals, lowercase, and numerals.

Best suited to display settings where the distressed texture can be appreciated: horror or gothic titles, eerie promotional posters, genre book covers, and atmospheric game/film branding. It can also work for short pull quotes, packaging accents, or chapter headings where a vintage, worn-print effect is desired.

The font conveys an eerie, timeworn tone—part antique print, part distressed stamp. Its scratchy texture and uneven edges suggest age, decay, and handmade imperfection, giving text a gritty, ominous energy without becoming fully chaotic or illegible.

The design appears intended to merge a traditional serif foundation with a heavily weathered finish, producing a legible but theatrically aged voice. The consistent edge damage and ink-break artifacts point to an intentional “old print / degraded ink” effect for thematic, narrative-driven typography.

Spacing and rhythm feel intentionally uneven due to the distressed perimeter, which adds visual noise at small sizes but becomes richly tactile when set larger. The numerals and uppercase are especially emblematic, with pronounced serif structures that read as historic before the distressing takes over.
