A strongly inked serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and robust, bracketed wedge serifs. The letterforms are broad and spacious with large internal counters, while joints and curves show smooth transitions into sharp, triangular terminals. Lowercase details lean toward an oldstyle flavor—noticeable ball/teardrop terminals on forms like a, f, j, and y, plus a double-storey g and a moderately tall x-height relative to the heavy capitals. Numerals appear oldstyle with varying heights and prominent bowls, keeping the same high-contrast, sculpted rhythm as the letters.

Best used for headlines, cover typography, and editorial layouts where high contrast and strong serifs can provide impact and hierarchy. It can also work well for packaging and branding marks that need a classic, premium feel, while longer text will benefit from generous size and leading to balance the dense stroke weight.

The overall tone is confident and traditional, with a distinctly editorial weight and a slightly theatrical finish from the pointed serifs and ball terminals. It feels formal and authoritative, suited to messaging that wants gravitas and emphasis without becoming ornamental.

The design appears intended as a contemporary, high-impact take on a conventional serif: wide, assertive forms paired with refined contrast and classic terminal shapes to deliver strong readability and a polished editorial voice.

At text sizes the heavy stems and crisp serifs create a strong vertical cadence, while the wide proportions help preserve counter-shape clarity. In display settings, the sharp terminals and high-contrast curves become the defining personality traits, especially in round letters like C, G, O, and Q and in the spiky diagonals of V, W, and X.
