This typeface uses monolinear strokes with visibly ragged, irregular edges that mimic ink spread or worn printing. Letterforms are generally compact and narrow, with slightly inconsistent widths and a subtly unsettled rhythm across the line. Corners and terminals are blunt yet roughened, producing a broken contour rather than clean geometry; rounded shapes like O, Q, and 0 appear squarish and uneven, as if cut or stamped. The lowercase set keeps a modest x-height with simple, pared-back constructions, while figures and capitals maintain the same distressed outline and upright stance for a cohesive texture.

Best suited to display settings where texture and mood are primary—such as horror titles, Halloween or seasonal promotions, thriller or occult-themed posters, game branding, and punchy cover typography. It can also work for short packaging lines or labels when a distressed, unsettling atmosphere is desired, but it is less appropriate for long-form reading at small sizes due to the heavy edge noise.

The overall tone feels ominous and weathered, evoking aged notices, arcane labels, or text pulled from an old case file. Its jittery contours and imperfect repetition create tension and unease without relying on extreme ornament, giving it a grounded, handmade spookiness.

The design appears intended to deliver an eerie, timeworn voice through controlled distortion rather than dramatic silhouettes. By keeping the underlying forms straightforward and upright while distressing the outlines, it aims for reliable recognizability with a consistent “haunted print” surface.

In text, the distressed perimeter becomes the dominant visual feature, creating a grainy “noise” that increases as size decreases. Straight stems (I, l, t) show especially pronounced waviness, and counters can look slightly pinched or irregular, which adds character but benefits from generous size and spacing.
