A compact slab serif with strong, flat-ended serifs and crisp, mostly unbracketed joins. Strokes show noticeable contrast—especially in rounds—while keeping a steady, controlled rhythm. Counters are relatively tight and apertures tend toward closed forms, giving the face a dense, ink-on-paper presence. Capitals feel sturdy and slightly condensed; lowercase forms are straightforward and text-oriented, with a two-storey “g” and a sturdy, horizontal-footed “t.” Numerals are clear and fairly traditional, with sturdy verticals and squared terminals that match the serif treatment.

Well suited to body text and long-form reading where a firm, traditional serif voice is desired, such as books, essays, and editorial layouts. It can also work effectively for packaging, signage, and headlines when you want a compact, sturdy serif with clear letterforms and a slightly vintage print character.

The overall tone is practical and authoritative, evoking book typography, institutional printing, and old-style newsroom or catalog copy. The square serifs and compact proportions add a no-nonsense, workmanlike feel, while the contrast lends a touch of classic formality.

The design appears intended as a robust, text-first slab serif that balances classic serif contrast with assertive square serifs for strong presence and dependable legibility. Its compact proportions and dense texture suggest a focus on efficient setting and an authoritative, print-oriented voice.

In running text the heavy slabs create strong horizontal emphasis and a pronounced baseline, which can enhance structure but also makes texture feel darker and more insistent. The round letters (like O, C, and e) show a clear thick–thin pattern that adds traditional flavor without becoming calligraphic.
