A heavy slab-serif with pronounced, squared serifs and subtly rounded/bracketed joins that keep the forms from feeling overly mechanical. Strokes show noticeable modulation for a slab: verticals read weightier while curves and horizontals thin slightly, producing a lively, editorial rhythm. Counters are relatively tight and apertures are moderately closed, giving the face a dense, poster-ready color. Terminals are mostly flat and sturdy; curves (notably in C, G, S, and the bowls of B/P/R) are broad and smooth, while diagonals (K, V, W, X, Y) remain firm and blunt at the ends. Numerals are similarly weighty and compact, maintaining the same strong slab presence and robust silhouettes.

Best suited for headlines, titles, and short blocks of copy where weight and presence are desirable, such as posters, mastheads, editorial display, and bold brand marks. It can also work on packaging and signage where a sturdy, traditional slab voice helps convey strength and reliability.

The overall tone is bold and authoritative with a classic, press-like character. It feels rooted in traditional display typography—confident, slightly rugged, and built to command attention—while the softened transitions add a touch of warmth rather than stark industriality.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic slab-serif impact with added liveliness from stroke modulation and softened joins, balancing authority with approachability. It prioritizes strong silhouettes and a dense typographic color for attention-grabbing display settings.

At larger sizes the strong slabs and tight counters create a high-impact texture, especially in dense lines of text where the face forms a dark, emphatic paragraph color. The lowercase has sturdy, straightforward construction (single-storey a and g) that reinforces the utilitarian, headline-driven personality.
